The Underwire With A Mind Of It’s Own
A bad, uncomfortable bra can ruin a woman’s day. Recently, I started my day just like any other day: I awoke, showered, dressed, and drove to work. Before lunch time, I was taking a stroll to the copier and stretched my back. Then – “pop!”
Something in the many details of my bra had broken. I didn’t think much of it immediately, but then very quickly when I realized it was the thin fabric holding the pointy wire away from my body that had broken. The sneaky little wire was exposed and weaving itself out of its fabric holder and it angled itself just so that it pierced directly into my breast.
I tried squirming, and secretly twitching to get the stabbing pain away from my tender breast skin. I went to the bathroom and took it off to try my hand at repair work. I shoved the wire back it as far as it would go – put it back on – and went back to work.
After thinking I had triumphed, the wire slithered itself back from the fabric guard. I am convinced it was really ticked now – and stabbed with more passion. For the remainder six hours of my work day I had the evil bra wire poking me (and possibly laughing at me with its wiry head).
